The venue is a two-story brick structure featuring Palladian windows, carved wood details, antique chandeliers, decorative columns, and wooden floors. The official address is 32 Derby Square, Salem, MA.

🎨 Vendor Selection

All vendors are carefully reviewed and juried by New England Open Markets to ensure a diverse selection of one-of-a-kind products from artists, makers, collectors, and dealers. Our criteria include: the quality, innovation, and uniqueness of your work; the overall cohesiveness of your collection; the way your products are presented in photographs; and the need to maintain a balanced mix of categories.

We welcome all forms of distinctive art, handmade crafts, antiques, curiosities, and oddities.

Vendors must be ready for customers by 10:30 AM. Vendors are responsible for supplying and setting up their own displays, booth signage, decorations, tables, and chairs.

Vendors are required to remain open for business until closing time. Early breakdowns and departures are strictly forbidden. Vendors must clean up their assigned booth area at the conclusion of the event, and all trash must be disposed of properly.

💡 Lighting & Electricity

The entire space is generously covered in very bright overhead lighting. We cannot guarantee the usage of electricity to vendors — please plan accordingly.

✨ Aesthetic Guidelines

All vendors are required to display their booths in a professional manner:

  • You must display your Business Name / Logo at your table
  • Floor-length tablecloths are required for all display tables
  • Additional stock and boxes must be kept hidden under your display
  • Rented space must be kept tidy during operating hours — your goods and displays must not extend outside of your 6′ × 4.5′ area

📄 Tax ID Certificates

Tax ID Numbers are required in Massachusetts. All exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws. This is required for both in-state and out-of-state vendors. You can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. Register with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue here →

🍽️ Health & License — Food Vendors Only

If accepted, each food vendor will be required to obtain a Salem Board of Health Temporary Food Service Permit. To obtain the temporary health permit, you must email us the following documents after submitting your application below:

  • Temporary Food Permit
  • ServSafe Documentation

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

We do not offer credits or refunds of any kind for the Salem Holiday Market. Once you cancel, you forfeit your fee and your spot in the market. Vendors are not permitted to sell or trade their space.

🛡️ Indemnification

Vendors are recommended to have their own general liability insurance. The producer, vendor, and vendor employee is solely responsible for damages resulting from the sale of unsafe or unsound goods, in addition to any accidents occurring while at the Salem Holiday Market.

The vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless NE Open Markets LLC, the City of Salem, and their affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all liability, loss, or damages which may be incurred as a result of all claims, demands, costs, judgments, or expenses, including attorney's fees, arising from the vendor's participation in the Salem Holiday Market.
