Now entering its fourth season, the Boston Open Market is set to return to Boylston Street once again this year. Relocating a few blocks from its original spot in Copley Square due to ongoing construction, this beloved open-air market continues its tradition of championing local artisans and small businesses. With over 55 local artists and makers participating, patrons can indulge in the best of local craftsmanship every Saturday, nestled along the Boylston Street entrance to the Boston Public Garden. Showcasing exclusively 100% handmade goods, the market highlights the area's premier artisans and artists from May through October. From one-of-a-kind original artwork to meticulously crafted jewelry, small-batch soaps, and artisanal leather bags, there's something to captivate every visitor, ensuring each week brings a fresh find!
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2024 SEASON
All available spots for the remainder of the season have been filled. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please email us with your business name, a detailed description of what you sell,3-4 product pictures, a booth picture and links to your website and social media pages. Please note, if you sell jewelry, candles, or soap, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a spot, as these categories are oversaturated and the waitlist for them has been full since May.

VENDOR FEES AND MAKING PAYMENTS
10’ x 10’ – $150.00
*10’ x 20” - $300.00
Once your application is approved, you'll promptly receive an email containing your confirmed dates along with a link to our payment portal. Payment must be made two weeks prior to your scheduled market dates. *Please note that if you intend to occupy a 10 x 20 space at the market, the Boston Fire Department mandates that you set up using two 10x10 tents instead of a single 10x20 tent.
BOOTH SHARING
Sharing a booth with another vendor or vendors is not allowed unless permission is granted by NE Open Markets (NEOM) in advance.
TAX ID CERTIFICATES
Tax ID Numbers are required in Massachusetts. All Exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws and display Tax ID Certificate in booth. This is required for both in state and out of state vendors. If you do not have a tax id certificate, you can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. VENDOR GUIDELINES
Only sturdy tents with white canopies are permitted.
Floor-length tablecloths are required for all display tables.
Any additional stock and boxes must be kept hidden under the display.
Vendors are responsible for keeping their rented space tidy during operating hours.
Goods/displays must not extend outside of the designated tent area.
A minimum of 40lbs per tent leg is mandatory for all tents; cinder blocks, water jugs, and other crude weight methods are not permitted.
Smoking is not permitted in the market area.
Vendors must dispose of all personal trash at the end of the day.
Vendors must bring their own setup materials, including tables, chairs, and weights.
SETUP EMAILS
Before each scheduled market, vendors will receive a setup email on Friday. This email will provide you with specific details regarding your space assignment, setup time, and any special instructions or market requirements. It is essential for all vendors to thoroughly review this information and arrive at their designated setup time to ensure a smooth and efficient process, minimizing any potential delays or disruptions. Our team will be available to assist you with any questions or concerns that may arise during the setup. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and well-organized market environment.
IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING BREAKDOWN
In accordance with the City of Boston's regulations, the sidewalk must be completely cleared by 6:00 PM. The breakdown process should commence no later than 5:00 PM. Please be aware that individuals who break down after 6:00 PM will forfeit the remaining dates reserved.
WEATHER POLICY
The Boston Open Market operates as a rain or shine market. By opting to participate in a rain or shine market, vendors acknowledge and accept all risks associated with unfavorable weather conditions. In the event of a closure due to severe weather, vendors will be issued a credit that can be applied to a future market date within the current 2024 season. It's important to note that these credits are not transferable to the following calendar year and must be utilized within the current season.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances can arise, leading to the need for canceling your market reservation. If you find it necessary to cancel, we request a minimum of 3 weeks notice. This time frame enables us to make the required schedule adjustments and offer the opportunity to other vendors. Please note that if you cancel after this deadline, your market credit will be forfeited.
REFUND POLICY
NE Open Market does not provide refunds for cancellations. If you need to cancel a paid reservation, we will issue credits that can be applied towards future markets within the current 2024 calendar year. It is important to note that these credits cannot be carried over into other markets or into the following year.
CODE OF CONDUCT
In order to ensure the quality and enjoyment of the market and to promote a safe and positive atmosphere, we ask that all vendors act in accordance to the following:
Act with respect toward other persons, their privacy and safety.
Physical or verbal abuse to fellow vendors, customers or market management of any kind will not be tolerated.
All persons shall treat public and private property and equipment with respect.
Please report any activity that is deemed inappropriate to our on-site managers. Any violation of the Code of Conduct by a vendor will result in the immediate removal from the markets without refund. NE Open Markets, LLC owners, landlords, managers and promoters reserve the right to restrict or terminate any vendor’s activity which, in their opinion, is disruptive, slanderous, inappropriate or is detrimental to the quality of the event as a whole. In the event of any restrictions or evictions, NE Open Markets, LLC and its affiliates will not be liable for any refund of rental or other expenses.
PROMOTER STATEMENT
In the event of any restrictions or evictions, the NE Open Markets, LLC and its affiliates will not be liable for any refund of rental or other expenses. NE Open Markets, LLC managers and promoters reserve the right to remove, without refund or recourse, any exhibitor who misrepresents himself or his product. In addition, the promoter reserves the right not to select vendors who may not be suitable for the market. NE Open Markets, LLC reserve the right to amend or add to the applicable rules pertaining to and governing the Boston Open Market at any time during and before the operating season without notice. The interpretation of all the rules by the promoters shall be final.
